Interpolgar Nexus: what it does, how it works and who it’s for
Interpolgar Nexus is an artificial-intelligence platform for companies that approve, pay or lend money. The core idea is simple: help you pay fewer inflated or fraudulent claims, decide faster, and explain why every decision was made.
Who is it for?
It’s built for teams that review claims, underwrite policies or evaluate credit:
• Claims administrators (TPAs) and health insurers: review every line of a claim, compare providers with their peers and flag overbilling, upcoding, duplicates and doctor shopping.
• Auto insurers: calculate actual cash value, total loss and depreciation, and flag repair shops that inflate estimates, theft without a police report and claims in the first days of a policy.
• Life insurers and retirement plans: quote and classify risk, watch the contestability period and beneficiary changes, project what each person will have at retirement and review withdrawals with anti-money-laundering controls.
• Credit unions and small banks: a credit score where every factor adds or subtracts points, clear reasons for a decline, delinquency buckets, provisions and restructuring offers.
• Agencies and brokers: a narrower use, such as a client portal and document review. It does not quote across carriers or calculate commissions.
How is it used?
A typical pilot has four steps:
1. You choose one problem (for example, health-claims fraud or credit decisions).
2. You share a de-identified sample of data; there’s no need to connect your systems.
3. The platform analyzes and explains: every alert shows the rule, the evidence and the points behind it.
4. Your team decides. The AI recommends; a person approves or rejects the doubtful cases and everything is recorded in a tamper-proof log.
How does it help?
Less time on manual review, less money paid in error or fraud, decisions an auditor or regulator can follow, and one place for several lines of business. It works in English and Spanish, and connects to your systems through API, webhooks or portfolio import when you’re ready.
What should you know?
We’re upfront: the platform does not yet have SOC 2 or HIPAA certification. It’s designed with those controls in mind and pilots start with synthetic or de-identified data. You can see the full status on the Security page.
